    Bridal Shower Fiesta

While reminiscing on my sisters magical wedding last weekend in Cabo, I decided to share all the details of the Bridal Shower Fiesta I threw her prior to the big day. What better way to shower the future bride with love than by throwing a fiesta. Especially because for as long as I can remember my sister has loved margaritas and tortilla chips. I would say they are her favorite foods. Who doesn’t love a fresh margarita and some tortilla chips? Throwing parties is just so much fun. I love piecing together all of the details. From the small little things to the large overall design. There is just something…

    Our Colorado Wedding

2018 was one for the books in so many ways, but our wedding was definitely the best. I spent a little under a year and a half planning the most perfect wedding for us, all while trying to stay within budget. Weddings are SUPER expensive these days. Like seriously expensive. I posted a lot on the blog during the wedding process on how I looked for different vendors and planned, but I haven’t shared the finished product. Below is what I like to call my “wedding baby.” It was hours of work, but beyond enjoyable work. I hope you enjoy #allthebliss below. The Details Location Great Divide Barrel Bar Location…

    Writing Vows

One of my favorite parts of weddings are the vows. I love hearing what both the bride and the groom have to say to one another. It’s such a special moment, and one that sets the stage for the marriage to come. When we first got engaged I envisioned myself having my vows written well in advance. I am not a last minute kind of person, however with my vows the last minute was the case. Throughout our engagement as I thought of things or saw phrases I liked I jotted them down. It wasn’t until wedding week and a few days before we said “I do,” that I actually…

    Dancing Down the Aisle

Dancing down the aisle is just what I did on 20OCT2018. I danced down the aisle in memory of my Dad and so I didn’t cry the entire way. I lost my Dad 4 years ago and was to date the hardest moment in life. My Dad was my rock, the lemon to my lemonade, because when there were lemons he always knew how to make lemonade for me. My Dad was and is one of the best men to walk. I am not just saying that from the selfish point of being his child, I am saying that from the point of him being the kindest and most giving…

    Name Change

Name change has both a positive and negative connotation to it. Name change can be for happy reasons, such as getting married or not so happy reasons such as divorce. I refuse to dwell on the unhappy, and that’s not what my current life status has me doing. I recently got married, but from all the posts and pictures I am sure you could have guessed that. Along with the marriage comes the option to change your last name.  Contemplation  Changing my last name was not something that was an split second decision. Loosing my Dad 4 years ago really made me contemplate holding on to my maiden last name…

    Thank You Organization

Nothing like welcoming yourself into the married life with all the love from family and friends. Wedding gifts and cards were such a fun thing to get, open and read (cards). I loved seeing the cards people picked out, and the messages written inside. There were so many words of encouragement,  so many kind wishes and multiple snips of advice for marriage. How do you keep it all organized though?   I focus this article on wedding thank you organization, however the below tips and tricks can be applied to any sort of thank you organization. This method is perfect for Christmas gifts as well!  Organization  Organization is key to…

    Bridal Party Slumber Party

Don’t you just love a good slumber party? It seems like when I was younger I had them all the time, but as life gets more chaotic with age these slumber parties have taken a halt. Why do they have to end though? Before I first got engaged I knew I wanted to have my bridal party spend the night at our house the night before the wedding. I absolutely adore girl time, as most woman do. I figured what better way to pre-start off wedding day than to get in some pjs and relax. Let’s Get This Party Started  The bridal party slumber party began immediately following rehearsal dinner,…

    Napa Bachelorette Party

You have probably heard me say this over 100 times now, but what a bachelorette party for the books. It was by far the best girls trip I have ever had and it makes me crave more. There is nothing like a good girls trip to soothe the soul. #NapaJustGotHotter was a 4 day 3 night trip.  It started out with a delicious breakfast and mimosas at Elways in DIA. 8 AM flights have nothing on me. Six of my babes and I headed from all areas of the country to SFO, where we rented a huge 15 passenger van for us and all of our bags. Let’s face it…

    Napa: Bachelorette Trip Packing

I can’t believe the extended Napa bachelorette weekend has come and past already. I dreamt of this trip even before I was engaged and once I was engaged the trip came to actual fruition. It was fabulous to disconnect, sip wine and float on cloud nine.  I have a few main loves in life besides my fiancé and pup, and one of them is fine wine. Sipping wine and having girl time/chat was all the bliss. How often in life do we get the chance to take a girls trip? Not enough is what I have to say. Despite this being titled my bachelorette trip, it’s more of the girls…
