    Wander + Ivy

What a fabulous Thursday evening I had this past week celebrating Wander + Ivy Wine with none other than the beautiful founder and CEO Dana Spaulding and an intimate group of influencers. We sipped, we shared, we laughed and we sipped some more on the fabulous Wander + Ivy wine. About Wander + Ivy Wine are single serving (6.3 ounces) organic wine ready to serve at all times. The wine is sourced from family vineyards around the world and presented to you in a cylindrical glass bottle. Not only is the wine amazing and super delicious but the bottles are little pieces of art that are perfect for any event…

    Cavatini

Cavatini is a dish I grew up with that is absolutely delicious and super easy to make. It’s the perfect dinner party or week night meal. Basically any time you don’t have a lot of time, or you want to be able to socialize with family, friends or guests, this is your dish. I am sure everyone will love it. Family Tradition This dish holds a bit of memories for me. You guys see me as a girly girl/boss babe all the time, but what you don’t know, is I grew up hunting. Every year it was a family affair, we would go to “hunting camp.” Hunting camp consisted of…

    “Whiskey in a Teacup”

What a book, and one I couldn’t put down. I started reading “Whiskey in a Teacup,” prior to our wedding, but with that crazy I didn’t get very far into it. The other night, when my nose was a bit stuffy and I was a bit chilled, I threw on some pjs, my robe and grabbed a glass of wine and read from around page 25 all the way through. I know I should have indulged in whiskey in a teacup literally, but the glass of red wine sounded more appealing at the time. Dorothea always said that it was a combination of beauty and strength that made souther women…

    Prepping For House Guests

Last week we had guests staying at our house before our wedding. Don’t worry we didn’t invite everyone only our parents, a bridesmaid and an aunt and uncle for an evening. Yes, your right, still quite a few people under one roof and to top it off we will have 3 dogs in the mix. How in the world do you go about prepping for this many guests? History  Back in May we moved from our quaint town home in the uptown area of Denver, to the burbs where we quadrupled our square footage. As you can imagine our house is pretty empty, rooms of emptiness and I am not…

    Fourth of July Cocktail Hour

If you don’t know me or are just starting to follow my blog you know I am all about a good cocktail hour. We had the pleasure of hosting (which I LOVE to do) our old neighbors for an early Fourth of July get together this past weekend. It was a beyond fun evening, maybe a bit too much fun, but all with no harm. I absolutely adore wine and love a good charcuterie and cheese board. While keeping it classy but simple I made these rose champagne spritzers and the most delicious charcuterie board. This combination is absolutely perfect for your Fourth of July get together cocktail hour. I…

    Blue Cheese Steak Bites

These delectable blue cheese steak bites are sure one to make your taste buds go wild. The pairing of a nice piece of steak with some blue cheese and balsamic glaze is absolutely delectable. I love when a recipe is so simple but the simplicity is to elegant and delicious. These bites are perfect for: A weeknight dinner party appetizer For dinner itself if you are trying to stay light (pairs well with red wine) Work potlucks Tips: Use a fresh french bread from your local bakery. Heat up the french bread if you decide not to toast it. Season the steak well ahead of time and let the flavors…

    Friends-MAS

Every year I see more and more people get wrapped up in gifts; what do you want and what do you want? Don’t get me wrong I love to shop and give and receive gifts, but spending time with friends and family is one of those things that’s priceless. Life is too short and those memories you make spending time with loved ones will last infinitely longer than the gifts you recieve. The best gifts come from within. We had the pleasure of hosting two amazing friends this week for what we called “Friends-MAS.” We ate and had fun cocktails and played games and most importantly enjoyed each other’s company.…
