    Watermelon Mimosas

Who doesn’t love a good mimosa? Champagne with a splash of orange juice; you really can’t go wrong. While the classic mimosa is delicious, why not spice it up a little? This is exactly what I did this weekend with the watermelon mimosa. We had cold pressed watermelon juice in the fridge and watermelon slices in the fridge, and being 100% transparent there are always bottles of champagne and bubbles in our wine cellar. I was quite taken by just how much I love the combination of watermelon juice with champagne. Cold pressed watermelon juice is much lighter than orange juice and makes the mimosa even more refreshing. These watermelon…

    Mango Mezcal Margarita

I officially have a new favorite drink and it’s the Mango Mezcal Margarita. It’s definitely not too friendly in the sugar department, however in my defense there is no added sugar. Only the sugar from the mango, and life is just too short not to enjoy the natural sugars in life. The Mango Mezcal Margarita may not be your first pick this time of year as it’s still a little chilly out, however it’s the perfect way to remind you of the Spring ahead. In fact, we were introduced to the combination of Mezcal and mango when we were in Cabo last month for my sisters wedding. Unfortunately, We didn’t…

    Mulled Cider Cocktail

I have to say this Halloween was a little different than most. It’s WHITE outside; snow, snow and more snow. Along with the snow comes the cold. It’s unbelievable that we are on our third snow storm of the year and it’s the 31st of October. Maybe I should say it’s believable because, yes this actually is happening this year. While the chilly temperatures spread outside, we enjoyed the warm fireplace and these delicious Mulled Cider Cocktails. I was first introduced to the idea of a mulled cocktail when my husband booked a ski birthday weekend for me in Vail. Our hotel had mulled wine ready for us when we…

    Wander + Ivy

What a fabulous Thursday evening I had this past week celebrating Wander + Ivy Wine with none other than the beautiful founder and CEO Dana Spaulding and an intimate group of influencers. Aperol Spritz

Maybe I am late to the game, but I finally tried an Aperol Spritz. My first impression was, “it’s interesting.” I didn’t and don’t know how to pinpoint the flavor. It’s like nothing I have ever tasted before. Interesting is all I could really say after my first one. I since have had a few. Each time making it a little different, and my a little different I mean different proportions of the key ingredients. I have found I personally enjoy less than 50/50 aperol and champagne like most recipes call for. Maybe as my taste buds will get used to aperol. I feel like it’s an acquired taste. It’s…

    Tequila Cucumber Blackberry Smash

We had a taste of warmer weather a couple weeks ago in Denver and it got me dreaming of warm Spring and Summer days sitting on the patio, unwinding in the evening with my husband, cocktail and a delicious dinner on the grill. It also got me thinking of cocktail pairings for the warmer weather. This Tequila Cucumber Blackberry Smash is the perfect Spring drink, and even though the calendar doesn’t say Spring, Spring fever is in the air. While I love Fall and Winter, and they are my favorites, I do tend to get sick of the winter weather and crave that moderately warm temperature. I absolutely hate the…

    Skinny Margaritas

I absolutely love a good margarita, however I despise the majority of pre-made margarita mixes you can find in the store. They are filed with sugar and just don’t taste refreshing. I have tried countless different brands and kinds and nothing seems to cut it, except this skinny margarita. In efforts to keep my figure and be able to have a margarita or two on occasion I set out to make the perfect skinny margarita. After a bit of perfecting I ended up with the below, and boy oh boy, is this recipe heavenly. It is super refreshing and NOT sweet.

    Pomegranate Pear Palomas

Tis the season to be have festive food, drinks and house decor. While feeling a bit festive last weekend I threw together these Pomegranate Pear Palomas. They were quite tasty if I do say so myself and got the seal of approval from my husband.  I am not sure if you would consider these more of a fall or winter festive drink, but I will let you decide that. If you ask me they can be both and I will definitely be making them during both times of year.  These drinks are the perfect pop of color you need for your upcoming cocktail parties. While they not only look good,…

    Fall Moscow Mules

When I think Moscow Mule, I immediately am drawn to the summer time. Why just drink Moscow Mules in the summer though? The other week I decided to add a little flair to my Moscow Mule and create a Fall Moscow Mule.  The Moscow Mule was delicious and I have continued to make them since this period of time. They are the perfect pairing to a warm fire and brisk fall night. What is your favorite fall beverage?  Fall Moscow Mule

    Jalapeño Grapefruit Cocktail

What better way to kick off your evening than this jalapeño grapefruit cocktail. What a treat this drink was and is. It has the right amount of sweet and tart to keep those taste buds a salivating. The jalapeño also gives it a little spicy kick, which takes the drink to a whole other level. I am not super into “hard alcohol” I love my wine and my occasional gin martini. I have been trying to be a bit more adventurous and step outside of my comfort zone and create some fun cocktails. I am happy to say both my fiancé and I loved this cocktail. It’s definitely one of the better…
