    Ginger Beet Martini

Ginger Beet Martini, what an interesting cocktail. I won’t say it’s bad, it’s just different. It reminds me of the healthy cold pressed beet juice I used to get in LAX while traveling out of there early in the morning, but hey, sweating for the wedding right? If you do not like beets this drink is definitely not for you, however if you do, give it a try. I had it in the evening but would recommend making it for brunch in lieu of a blood mary. It’s the perfect healthy cocktail combo to start your morning off right.

    Fourth of July Cocktail Hour

If you don’t know me or are just starting to follow my blog you know I am all about a good cocktail hour. We had the pleasure of hosting (which I LOVE to do) our old neighbors for an early Fourth of July get together this past weekend. It was a beyond fun evening, maybe a bit too much fun, but all with no harm. I absolutely adore wine and love a good charcuterie and cheese board. While keeping it classy but simple I made these rose champagne spritzers and the most delicious charcuterie board. This combination is absolutely perfect for your Fourth of July get together cocktail hour. I…

    Peach Lemonade Cocktail Slush

As the temperature has been creeping up, what better way to cool down than with these Peach Lemonade Cocktail Slush. Bye bye hot vibes, hello cool vibes. For real though, they definitely provide a refreshing feel to the evening. Did I mention how delicious they are? Extremely delicious!  I made these cocktails this past weekend as a pre dinner cocktail for the intimate family get together. They were an extreme hit and once my family new they were having these, they requested to have them in hand for the new house tour. I definitely liked where there brain was at. We sipped these took the house tour and relaxed on the…

    Cantarito

Happy Taco Tuesday! I have the perfect drink pairing to go along with your tacos this evening. It’s called a Cantarito. I had no idea a drink of this name even existed a few weeks ago until I saw it on a menu while out for happy hour. I had the pleasure of making these for my fiancé, some friends and I on Cinco de Mayo. Let me tell you, they were a huge hit. Lets just say we didn’t just have one. The glass I used to make these isn’t the traditional glass. In fact the drink traditionally goes in a flower pot looking glass. If you Google Cantarito,…

    Moscow Mules

Work like a mule, drink like a mule, right? I am not meaning your day job work, I am meaning the house work that never ends. There is always something that has to be done, but tis life. While we work on odds and ends tonight, a moscow mule was definitely in order, and is in hand. Moscow mules are a “newer” obsession for me. When I say “newer” I mean in the last few years. They are a fabulous spring/summer drink! The one thing I do not like is the difficulty I have finding a not too sweet ginger beer. They tend to be full of unwanted sugar. A…

    Home Happy Hour-Gin Martini

I will be the first to say YAY for Friday! I am ready for some time to catch up on me, I mean us (my fiancé, our charcoal lab and me). Our schedule is somehow overflowingly busy these days. With a martini in hand, I am conquering some of the catching up tonight. I like to call it HHH which equates to- Home Happy Hour. HHH is a fabulous way to be productive and still get your Friday on. Who indulges in HHH on Friday’s instead of going out? We do pretty much every Friday. I am not big on what many call “going out.” Don’t get me wrong I…

    Margarita’s

It’s Taco Tuesday and what goes better with tacos than a fresh margarita. Yes you deserve one. I know it’s only Tuesday, but you have officially survived two early morning alarms and braved the rest of the world. I have been on the hunt for the perfect margarita mix for years, and haven’t found one. They have either been too sweet, too bland or just funky. I haven’t given up my hunt, but instead have developed my own margarita mix that you can make in minutes right at home. I promise even the worst of mixologists can make these. Additions If you want a spicer margarita add a half or…

    Cosmopolitan

It’s New Years Eve and everyone seems to be hustling and bustling about the citypreparing for there evening plans. Some people obviously hosting and some attending. As I too was warped into the tornado of people out and about I started thinking about what the “new year” brings. Carrie Bradshaw once said, “Maybe you have to let go of who you were to become who you will be.” While dwelling on this quote I thought what better way to kick off the New Year’s Eve celebrations but with Ms. Bradshaw’s signature drink…the Cosmopolitan. Cosmos happen to be one of my go to drinks for girls nights, dinner parties and holiday…
