Skinny Margaritas
I absolutely love a good margarita, however I despise the majority of pre-made margarita mixes you can find in the store. They are filed with sugar and just don’t taste refreshing. I have tried countless different brands and kinds and nothing seems to cut it, except this skinny margarita.
In efforts to keep my figure and be able to have a margarita or two on occasion I set out to make the perfect skinny margarita. After a bit of perfecting I ended up with the below, and boy oh boy, is this recipe heavenly. It is super refreshing and NOT sweet.
Skinny Margarita
This recipe makes a tall margarita aka double so if you don’t want a large margarita half the recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 Lemon Squeezed
- 1 Lime Squeezed
- 2 Shots Tequila
- 1/2 Shot Triple Sec/ Cointreau
- 1/2-3/4 Can Fresca
- 1 dash Agave Syrup Optional
Instructions
-
Squeeze lemon and lime juice in a glass or bowl. Set aside.
-
Fill a glass with ice.
-
Pour the shots of tequila and triple sec/cointreau in the glass with ice.
-
Add the lemon and lime juice into the alcohol glass.
-
Top off with Fresca. (If you want it a little sweeter add a dash of agave syrup. I have made it both ways and they both are delicious. I would start with not adding it and then add it in if the margarita is too tart for you.)
-
Mix.

Enjoy!
