Watermelon Mimosas
Who doesn’t love a good mimosa? Champagne with a splash of orange juice; you really can’t go wrong. While the classic mimosa is delicious, why not spice it up a little? This is exactly what I did this weekend with the watermelon mimosa. We had cold pressed watermelon juice in the fridge and watermelon slices in the fridge, and being 100% transparent there are always bottles of champagne and bubbles in our wine cellar.
I was quite taken by just how much I love the combination of watermelon juice with champagne. Cold pressed watermelon juice is much lighter than orange juice and makes the mimosa even more refreshing.
These watermelon mimosa’s are the perfect pairing for just about anything in the spring and summer. I had mine this weekend while working on a puzzle since we are under the stay at home orders, however I plan on making these for many brunch parties in the future.
Watermelon Mimosa
Ingredients
- 8 oz Champagne
- 2 oz Watermelon Juice
- 1 slice Watermelon Garnish
Instructions
-
Pour champagne in desired glass and top off with watermelon juice.
-
Garnish with a slice of watermelon.
Recipe Notes
You can add more or less champagne depending on what you are looking for. If you like a lot of juice I would also recommend adding more watermelon juice than mentioned above. Have fun with it and make it your own!
