Cantarito
Happy Taco Tuesday! I have the perfect drink pairing to go along with your tacos this evening. It’s called a Cantarito. I had no idea a drink of this name even existed a few weeks ago until I saw it on a menu while out for happy hour. I had the pleasure of making these for my fiancé, some friends and I on Cinco de Mayo. Let me tell you, they were a huge hit. Lets just say we didn’t just have one.
The glass I used to make these isn’t the traditional glass. In fact the drink traditionally goes in a flower pot looking glass. If you Google Cantarito, you will see. I happened to not decide to make these until the last minute and couldn’t find the traditional glasses anywhere, so I settled for the glasses pictured. I found them at Home Goods. They are Mexican made glasses, and so i thought it was the best alternative to the flower pot cups.
