    Flower & Garden Inspiration

Today is the first day of Spring. It seems just like yesterday we were ringing in the new year. I am beyond excited for Spring as it means warmer weather is coming our way. I am not looking forward to the 90s and 100s, but I am looking forward to the warmer weather and to get our garden planted as well as our flower pots planted. Last year was our first year we were able to have a garden, as our house prior didn’t have a yard for it. Having a garden last summer was such a treat. I love being able to eat home grown veggies. They just taste…

    Summer Potato Salad

We had a house full of people this past weekend. A house full of people and my thoughts are what am I going to make for everyone for lunch. With the hot summer heat I decided to have a sandwich bar, fresh cherries, this homemade potato salad with a beer and a fresh rhubarb crumble with espresso for dessert. Boy of boy was this combination a hit and it was extremely easy. The best thing about this potato salad is you can make a day or two ahead of time when you actually have the time. Grilled Romaine Chicken Cesar Salad

Cesar salad is definitely one of my more favorite salads. When I make them for us at home, I never really abide by “typical” Cesar salad rules, I tend to just through whatever we like together with some Cesar dressing and call it delicious. A few weeks ago I was watching one of my favorite bloggers, Living with Landyn’s instagram story and saw that she was grilling romaine lettuce. While I am pretty sure my food repertoire knew about grilling romaine lettuce it hadn’t come to mind in a long time. Love it when someone else sparks your creative pallet. Especially when it comes to food. Grilling romaine lettuce definitely provide…

    Garbanzo Bean Herb Summer Salad

Summer is here! What better way to kick off the start to summer than this healthy Garbanzo Bean Herb Summer Salad? I made this salad the other night and it easily became my new favorite. I will definitely be making this numerous times. It’s easy and delicious and keeps well in the refrigerator, so the leftovers are just as delicious as the first initial bowl. The inspiration for this recipe came from our lack of groceries in the house. I had all good intentions of going to the grocery store on Sunday. Good intentions clearly became no attentions after my fiancé wash and waxed my car and the weather decided…

Basil Peach Salad with Spicy Italian Chicken Sausage

Another summer delight for you to make tonight. Like that rhyme there? This Basil Peach Salad is extremely easy to whip up during the week, and I promise it’s delicious.  It had my mouth watering making it and didn’t disappoint when it was done. We used an olive oil and white wine vinegar drizzle for the dressing with the salad. Some nights I just like the easy basics and they seem to never disappoint. If you aren’t an olive oil vinegar dressing type of person feel free to jazz up the salad with whatever dressing your heart desires. Also, if you don’t much like Spicy Italian Chicken Sausages, don’t use…
