    Our Colorado Wedding

2018 was one for the books in so many ways, but our wedding was definitely the best. I spent a little under a year and a half planning the most perfect wedding for us, all while trying to stay within budget. Weddings are SUPER expensive these days. Like seriously expensive. I posted a lot on the blog during the wedding process on how I looked for different vendors and planned, but I haven’t shared the finished product. Below is what I like to call my “wedding baby.” It was hours of work, but beyond enjoyable work. I hope you enjoy #allthebliss below. The Details Location Great Divide Barrel Bar Location…

    Wedding Themes

You have your venue and if you don’t, read my post on “picking a wedding venue” to help. Now it’s time to pick your wedding theme. We have grown from the days of everyone having the simple and classic wedding theme to literally being able to do whatever your heart desires. These days there are weddings themed from everything to Harry Potter, to Halloween Costumes, to masked balls, to sports themes to Gatsby and back to the classic wedding that still exists. The possibilities are endless which gives you 100% freedom to do what you would like. This may overwhelm you or may be right up your alley. The below…

It has let me express my creativity in numerous different ways. I am also going to give you a few tips to help make your wedding…

    Wedding Guests

You’ve got your venue and have started planning all of the other items, but who is going to be at the wedding to enjoy it all? You may think, how do I even go about making a guest list? Making a guest list is a bit more of a task than most think. Do you invite that couple or not? Below is my rendition of how we went about picking who we added to our guest list and who got the chop. After all, you can’t invite everyone. While reviewing who to invite and who to not I recommend making a spreadsheet to keep the “poppin bottles crew” orderly. After…

    Engagement Photos

There is something about engagement photos that speaks right of passage in the wedding process. When I was talking to my fiance about engagement photos, he gave me the look of, “do we really have to.” Once we got “on site” and were taking pictures he was totally ok. Back to the engagement photo process though. Last week I let you in on my secret to finding the best photographer for your wedding. Now that you have your photographer booked for your wedding and engagement photos, it’s time to get down to business getting those photos taken. Wait though; where are you going to have them taken? What are you…

    Will you be my bridesmaid?

Will you be my bridesmaid? One of the many questions that gets asked when planning a wedding. Such an exciting time. Who will you ask? How many girls will you have? All of these questions came to my mind shortly after getting engaged, because let’s face it your bridesmaids are an important part of the wedding. Once you decide who you will ask the next question is, how you will ask them? Are you going to do the simple way of picking up the phone and “popping the question?” Are you going to take them out for cocktails and break out the question then? Maybe you are going to purchase…

    Bridesmaid Dresses

Asking your bridesmaids to be in your wedding is a super exciting time. Having the ladies you love most stand by you while you get married to your one and only, is a memory and moment you will have forever. Being a bridesmaid is no little feat; you have to buy a dress, attend wedding festivities, make sure the bride stays sane, book travel, get a hotel room, pay for food and more. Bridesmaids are always curious what you are going to “make” them wear. Is the bride going to make us wear strapless, a ballgown dress, a chiffon wonder…the list goes on. For our wedding I decided to go…

    Picking a Wedding Venue

Every little girl dreams of her wedding day. I was one of those little girls. From as far back as I can remember I dreamt of wedding dress shopping, the cake and the flowers to name a few; but most importantly my Dad walking me down the aisle. I am now engaged to the most amazing man, a man who I see a lot of my father in. The dream of the most amazing wedding still exists and is slowly but surely coming a reality. In order for the wedding dream to become a reality, a venue first had to be picked. Picking a venue is a huge feat. One…

    Wedding Timeline TODO List

Before getting engaged I knew there were numerous things I would have to do to plan our wedding, however I didn’t really realize all the little things that had to be done as well. In addition to the TODO list in my Erin Condren wedding planner (shared last week on the blog, so check it out) I created an extremely comprehensive TODO list for myself to ensure I have everything down to the drop of wine covered. I don’t know how people get engaged one month and then 6 months later get married. Yes, I am sure I could do it, but I am thoroughly enjoying the wedding planning process…

    Wedding Planning: Where to start

Wedding planning is a daunting task for most. I have heard so many women say how stressful the wedding planning process was for them. I took their warnings with a grain of salt at the time, as I had no idea when my now fiance would propose. I am now engaged, having the time of my life planning our wedding and stress FREE!!! Before I get to how to diminish your stress and where to start planning let me tell you about the proposal. Who doesn’t love a good love story. The Proposal Story: My fiance proposed this past July. The proposal was one of grandeur and great meaning to…
