Home for the Holidays

Cozy Home

While the calendar hasn’t officially stated it’s Fall yet, it definitely hasn’t started to feel like it in Colorado. The cooler nights have been so refreshing and have brought smiles to our faces. With the cool nights comes making our house cozy. There is nothing like a cozy home to come back to after being gone or out and about.

In the beginning efforts to make our house feel more fall like and make it a bit more cozy, I went to Home Goods and Joann Fabrics yesterday. There I stocked up on:

  • White Pumpkins
  • Metallic Pumpkins
  • Blankets
  • Pillow(s)
  • Faux Blooming Cotton
  • White Pitcher
  • Candles & Holders

I ended up purchasing a super cute down pillow from Home Goods that says, “Morning Pumpkin.” I knew once I saw this pillow I had to have it. I put in on the bench with a  faux fur blanket in our front door entry. While it isn’t always morning when people are entering our house, I thought it was a super inviting and cute touch to welcome guests.

Our new house has 2 fire places, and I couldn’t be more excited to fire them up once it really starts getting cold. One of the first places is in one of our living rooms and the other is in our master bedroom. I dressed up the living room fire place with pumpkins. Joann Fabrics had super cute white pumpkins with polka dots and stripes. This girl loves some polka dots and stripes and thus I couldn’t resist. They give just the right amount of color to our living room and make the fire place mantle feel super welcoming. I am on the hunt now for huge floor pillows for our fire place in our master bedroom. Finding decor is definitely an ongoing project.

We finally have an entertainment center in our living room. No more exposed cords, what a treat. I spruced up the entertainment center with a large white ceramic vase from Home Goods and faux blooming cotton from Joann Fabrics, a bowl full of metallic pumpkins and some candles. Fall scents are just the best.

For the “cherry” on top of the decor we always have wall flowers from Bath and Body works plugged into the walls. One of my favorite things is when I get to transition the scents throughout the seasons. I stocked up on a bunch of fun fall scents the other week and since I have the decor now, I am officially going to switch the scents out as the current ones run out.

The bliss of Fall and a cozy home is one of my favorite things. I love curling up with the fur blankets, coffee and just relaxing.  It’s all the BLISS.

What are your favorite cozy and fall touches to your home?

P.S. The front door is definitely not completed. Pumpkins are needed, however I didn’t want to have to replace them multiple times so I am waiting a little bit. I can’t get too far ahead of the game.
